About Me
No, I am not a young black man. I am a mature-aged white Australian woman. My name is Gwynith Young.

I was brought up a Congregationalist and remember the integrity and love of Congregationalists with gratitude and respect. I then lived outside the church for a number of years. I remain egalitarian but since returning to faith I am Ecumenical and can worship comfortably in most mainstream churches.

I believe that all people of faith are equally valued by God and are all called to serve and follow the Divine. For that matter, I believe that all unbelievers too are valued and loved.

I have qualifications in teaching, interior decoration, theology, photography and literature. (In other words, I am a dilettante). I have a special interest in the poetry of belief.

I have been a teacher, writer and private tutor. I am a former small business owner and manager of a cafe, deli-lunchbar, employment agency and garden watering business.

I am a lover of cities, especially Melbourne. I am politically left of centre with an interest in combating prejudice, especially against the Jewish, Muslim and LGBTIQ communities. I am a friend of dogs, I listen to ABC RN radio, watch French film and have an interest in family history and memoir.
I am creative, argumentative and sadly more a maverick loner than a team player.
