The Word

One foundation strand . . . of the discourse from which the Christian faith is constructed, based on the gospel of John, gives Jesus the Christ the name 'Word', or rather calls him by the Greek word which means so much more than simply 'word'. Logos is the whole act of speech, or the structured thought behind the speech, and from there its meanings spill outwards into conversation, narrative, musing, meaning, reason, report, rumour, even presence.
